Sir John Tenniel was the artist who agreed to illustrate the revised and expanded text which was now called Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.The editionof Alice's Adventures in Wonderland which was published in July was subsequently withdr
awn. The illustrator was displeased atthe poor quality of printing, which did not do justice to his illustrations. All but about15 copies were successfully recalled and presumed destroyed. A new edition was published in November 1865 (but dated 1866)
